AVOID REMOVAL EXPERTS AT ALL COSTS

I hired Removal Experts in June, based on their endorsement by Which? Magazine, and the experience was a disaster. The team arrived unprepared, lacked basic materials like carpet protection, and had no clear idea about the job. Numerous valuable items were either forgotten or damaged, including a sofa that was completely wrecked during the move (they didn't wrap it). The BBQ, which cost £2500, was also so badly damaged (they stood on it and bent the covers), that we had to have it inspected to determine if it has become a fire hazard due to compromised integrity. Mislabelled boxes, negligent handling, and damage to multiple belongings made the process chaotic and stressful.

To make matters worse, Removal Experts were obstructive during the compensation process, initially offering only £300 for damages, when the total cost was far higher. While our insurance claim has now been settled, the insurance company was unable to recover the monies from Removal Experts due to their stonewalling. This means our no-claim bonus has been lost, our premiums have increased, and we are ultimately out of pocket.

My final impression of this company is that they have likely done this before, gotten away with it, and will continue to do so as long as they are endorsed by Which? Magazine and unsuspecting customers trust them. Their lack of professionalism, negligent handling of items, and obstructive behaviour during the claims process make them a company to avoid at all costs.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. I will never trust a Which? company review again either.

I contacted many companies before deciding to contract Removals Expert.
Some companies had poor reviews and others did nor portray a positive, professional approach when meeting them.
My initial contact with Removals Expert, through Melissa, instilled confidence in me which was reinforced when Syed visited to assess and quote the work. His style was professional, empathetic and informative.
This was further enhanced by the team who arrived the day before my move date to pack my belongings and who returned the next day to transport all my belongings.
Their whole approach was dignified and respectful. They treated myself and my belongings with care and consideration, paying attention to detail with regards to my poppies from The Tower of London.
I highly recommend this Company.

I chose Removals Expert based on reviews here. For this reason I feel compelled to leave a review as my experience was not good. Their quotation and sales team were very professional, however their removal team were not. The team consisted of 5 people but insisted on carrying many items individually, inevitably bashing them on walls as they dragged them around. This resulted in significant damage to a number of items. Quite apart from the inconvenience, the claim of insurance protection is misleading as they never payout. Also, the stressful move process was not helped by the nagging phone calls whilst I was collecting the keys. For nearly £1k they weren't cheap, so I was left disappointed in a poor performance. I recommend you look elsewhere.

Shockingly bad removal company.  They were in a hurry, the packing was shoddy or at times non-existent, they insisted on payment of the balance on the day so that if on inspection and unpacking you find a problem, you have no redress.  They promise to disassemble and reassemble furniture, but they refused to do so at the final destination.  Even though boxes were clearly marked they didn't take things up the stairs (we moved from a ground floor flat to a 3-story house, which they knew in advance).  They refused to take items of furniture upstairs.  We had to reassemble the bed ourselves!  This was the most important thing to us, that the furniture they took apart was then reassembled at destination.  They were in an obvious hurry to finish and leave. When I called to complain, they offered us a voucher for a takeaway in compensation! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Move was fine - but a couple of issues before and after.

Phone inventory vastly underestimated how much stuff we had. That meant they had to send another van last minute and with extra cost on the day.

Our furniture wasn't put back together properly. Our bed can be fixed - but I only noticed that our sofa's leg hadn't been put back properly over a week later when it collapsed causing damage. Removals Expert response was it was too late for insurance claim. It made no other offer to help. Reply was not very customer friendly.

So ok if things go right - but I wouldn't trust them to dismantle and reassemble your furniture - or to offer any assistance if they mess up. And that is when you see what good service actually looks like (or not in this case).

I would also recommend thoroughly checking everything before you let them leave - although it is the last thing you feel like doing after a long day moving. And I got the impression the removal men would not have been pleased had I spent another hour checking everything.

I can only give one star because of these issues. Although competitive quote - it has ended up costing me a lot more because of incorrect inventory and as sofa is irreparable. Therefore I can't recommend this company.

From our first contact with Removals Expert the service has been exemplary. Great advice and guidance, a very professional survey visit conducted. Our house move required all our belongings to be split between being transported to a storage facility and our new home, boht of which were a distance of over 50 miles. Removals Expert provided a great team of guys to carry out the removal and two lorries so that we didn't get our belongings mixed up. Despite two drop off locations the removal went without a hitch and the team took care of everything seamlessly. The removal cost was definitely very good value for money and we would have no hesitation in using Removals Expert again (should we wish to move again) and would happily recommend them to anyone wanting a hassle free, professional service that can be booked with confidence.

Service cost: £550

As advised three men arrived and carefully moved our furniture and belongings to our new home.
The were very polite and respectful , taking care to tape items that may have come open.
We moved from a two bed house and did not take wardrobes, cooker, fridge/freezer and the size of van (5.5 ton) being used was not quite large enough for all our stuff in one go. Although they were happy to do two trips.

Would recommend company but request a larger vehicle.

Service cost: £390

I am so sorry but I cannot remember the three guys names that were on the job but they were amazing from start to finish.

They arrived on time and helped pack the items into their vans in a speedy fashion and wouldn't let us help and I think that this was very strategic as we didn't have a clue except to get the items ready for them to load.

What surprised us was that they helped us load the container at the shipping port which they did in record time.

They really felt like we had known them for years..they have beautiful spirits and hearts!!

Because of them and yourself being so helpful, we will be recommending this company to everyone we know.
